Getting Here
Google's directions are great, but they don't give you the useful landmarks that locals use, so for our own directions on how to reach Les Terraces, please click on the links below for PDF directions. While most people will choose either to drive, or fly & drive to reach Les Terraces, Sainte-Foy is very accessible by train too. If you're a keen cyclist or walker perhaps you might be interested in taking the train from Paris or Bordeaux.
The French high-speed train network, the TGV, is very good. Please check www.tgv.com for details. The closest TGV station to us is in Libourne. The journey from Paris is a little over 3 hours and gives you a wonderful view of the countryside as you travel. There is a local service train that connects Sainte-Foy-La-Grande to Libourne, Bergerac and Bordeaux. See www.ter-sncf.com for schedules. The station in Sainte-Foy-La-Grande is only a kilometre from the house, which makes it a short taxi-ride, or a 15-minute walk.
Please click here for links to pages that give you our personal directions to the house from both Bordeaux-Merignac and Bergerac Airport. They are the result of personal experience, so please forgive us if you find them slightly confusing.
Google's maps, however, are great. Here's a link to one for us:
